Maverick Ahanmisi of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, Terrence Romeo of the GlobalPort Batang Pier, and Rey Guevarra of the Meralco Bolts, came out on top of the 2016 PBA All-Star Weekend side events, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
In the Obstacle Challenge, Ahanmisi edged Carlo Lastimosa of the Blackwater Elite, 32.95 seconds versus 34.11 seconds, to cop the trophy.
That was followed by the Three-Point Contest, which eventually saw Terrence Romeo defend his title. After the first round, the trio of Romeo, Alaska Ace RJ Jazul, and Mahindra Enforcer KG Canaleta advanced to the Finals, with scores of 24, 25, and 22, respectively. With a win on the line though, Canaleta and Jazul both put up just 17 markers, while Romeo canned 20 to repeat.

Guevarra eventually won the event by dunking over 6’7″ Raymond Almazan and Jericho Cruz of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
