Germy Mahinay. The name may sound gentle, but there’s nothing delicate about his game. Simply put, Mahinay is a banger. He’s a big boy that uses every bit of his giant frame to make space inside and score points inside.

Mahinay had a breakout season in Season 92. He only averaged 8.7 points and 6.9 rebounds, but his impact for the San Beda Red Cubs went beyond numbers. He was an imposing presence inside that sucked up the defense and freed up space for shooters. He was one of the more consistent contributors for his team in the Finals.

The big man idolizes June Mar Fajardo. He believes that the benchmark for all big men in the country is the Kraken. Mahinay is good now. He’ll be even better when he works toward improving his game to match that of his idol.
