Hornets get Miles Plumlee, send Bucks Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes

The Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks completed a three-player trade today, both teams announced.

The Hornets acquired Miles Plumlee and cash considerations, with the Bucks getting in exchange Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert. To make space on their roster, Milwaukee waived Steve Novak.

Plumlee, who was re-signed by Milwaukee this past offseason, is averaging just 2.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 32 games (12 starts). He is set to make $12.5 million this season, and the next three.

Hawes, over 35 games, is currently averaging 7.3 points and 4.2 rebounds, while Hibbert in 42 games, is norming 5.2 points and 3.6 rebounds. Salary-wise, Hawes has a player option for next season worth $6.02 million. Hibbert is currently on a one-year deal worth $5 million.

Novak appeared in just eight games this season, putting up 0.6 points.
