John Wall was never, and could never be, a free agent given his stature in Washington. But the same can’t be said for Wall when it comes to sneaker endorsements.
Back in November 2015, Wall’s sneaker deal with Adidas came to an end. In his two-year stint with the three stripes, the brand released two signature sneakers for the All-Star point guard. In 2014, they put out the J Wall 1 and then in 2015, a month before his deal expired, they released the J Wall 2.
Adidas offered him an eight-year $66 million deal to continue the relationship but Wall turned that offer down. According to the Vertical, Wall wanted “Harden money” which was in the neighborhood of $200 million for 13 years.

It seems as if Wall got his money from Adidas. The Vertical’s Shams Charania first reported that Wall has come into an agreement with Adidas for a five-year deal.
Sources: Washington Wizards All-Star John Wall has agreed to a five-year endorsement deal with Adidas. Wall returns to the brand after testing shoe free agency over the past couple years.

The terms of the deal hasn’t been disclosed but it should be higher than the $8.25 million per year that Adidas initially offered back in 2015.
In his two years as a sneaker free agent, Wall has been seen wearing Nikes, Jordans and the occasional Adidas models. But lately, he’s been wearing more Adidas sneakers. This includes a floral colorway of the J Wall 2 when the Wizards matched-up against the Rockets which spurred the initial reports by Neil Dalal of the Hoops District back in December 30 that Wall was on his way to re-signing with the brand.
