2013 FIBA U18 3×3 Dunk Contest champion Kobe Paras ensured he’d get to defend his title by turning in the highest score among 20 competitors in the qualification round of the 2015 edition.

Paras got a final score of 56, thanks to a pair of dunks that scored 28 points each, to top the field.

He’ll be up against Agustin Da Costa of the Uruguay, the team that eliminated the Philippines from quarterfinals contention, and Jalek Felton of the USA, both of whom turned in scores of 54, as well as Hungary’s Boros Mark, who managed a 53.

On his first dunk, Paras set himself up for a 360 slam, while his second dunk saw him sky over two of his teammates, Mike Nieto and Richard Escoto.
