NBA Free Agency Recap: Danilo Gallinari traded to the Clippers

The free agent pool is drying up after a busy week. Big names have signed with new teams while the Warriors have kept their core together. In the past few days, the Clippers have tried to reload by bringing in Danilo Gallinari via trade. As reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, they were successful in bringing in the Italian star.

To get Gallinari, the Clippers had to do a sign and trade involving the Hawks and Nuggets.

The Clippers aren’t the only team reloading. The Thunder made some key signings too. After losing Taj Gibson to the Timberwolves, OKC signed Patrick Patterson to strengthen their front court and re-signed Andre Roberson to stiffen their wing defense.

Gordon Hayward, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant might have been the biggest free agent names. But NBA fans were waiting for where cult heroes Nick Young and Dion Waiters would end up next season.

Swaggy P signed with the Warriors for one year. He brings his outside jumper and irrational confidence to the NBA Champions.

Waiters was courted by several teams that needed his scoring. But he stays in South Beach where he built a name for himself last season.

JaVale McGee is still unsigned as of writing.
