The Philippines will field a quartet of rising stars in the 2017 FIBA 3×3 World Cup, scheduled for June 17-21 in Nantes, France.
Headlining the team will be Kiefer Ravena, Jeron Teng, and Kobe Paras, with Raymar Jose adding extra muscle.
Ravena and Teng have represented the Philippines in the past in an exhibition game during the 2015 FIBA 3×3 All Stars. Paras is a two-time member of the Philippine squad in the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup, having won Dunk Contest titles in those events.
The Philippines is in Pool B with Romania, Slovenia, France, and El Salvador.
Ravena is coming off a stint with Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League. Jose played in that same league for the Kaohsiung Truth. Paras just wrapped up his first US NCAA Division I season, while Teng is set to play for the Flying V Thunder in the PBA-DL.
