Joe Devance has a thing for the limelight.
He’s not one to back down from dance challenges, guest appearances, TV interviews and assisting a buddy in blindfold dunks. He’s always aware of when the camera is on and he’s always, always, ALWAYS ready to entertain.
When Barangay Ginebra won over the San Miguel Beermen in the quarterfinals, Joe wore a scowl on cam and started off the interview asking if it was live. When he was sure that thousands were tuned in, he gave an epic post-game interview that only Rudy Hatfield could rival.
The thing is, that was the second performance that Joe put on that night. Earlier during the game, he lit up the San Miguel defense in the opening period, hitting three bombs from beyond the arc. He scored 17 points and in the process, bagged the Player of the Game. That was the reason why he gave the most hyped-up post-game interview in the first place.
Joe has a thing for the bright lights.
He’s not one to back down from the Kraken, Spiderman or a Grand Slam seeking machine. When the lights shine the brightest, he’s always, always. ALWAYS ready to deliver the win.
