RED BULL PRODUCT OF EUROPE PRESENTS: RAJON RONDO IN MANILA // WIN AN AUTOGRAPHED JERSEY

NBA superstar and Red Bull athlete Rajon Rondo is coming to the Philippines to share his triple-double skills at the Red Bull Skills Clinic. Young, up-and-coming players will get an opportunity of a lifetime to learn from one of the game’s best at the Red Bull Skills Clinic. It’s a chance for these players to elevate their game at a higher level and be guided beneath the wings of the NBA superstar.

Rondo, known for his double digit performance statistics at points, rebounds, and assists in the top basketball league, will also turn over a refurbished court to a local barangay community.

The NBA All-Star is currently on his Asian tour for the Red Bull King of the Rock in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Red Bull is currently finalizing its plans of bringing the property here in Manila on 2013.

But Rondo has always heard about basketball as the Philippines’ national sport and decided to make a pit stop to see how basketball-crazy Filipinos really are.

When I’m engaged in playing basketball, it gives me wings when I feel that the game is highly contested. Good opponents equals good game. And of course knowing that my opponennts can be my friends at the end of the game.

@aloelapus I don’t really have a sport but I guess confidence gives you wings! Greatest example would be Rondo even. His confidence in his game and in his team is unmatched. Also, Red Bull blue and silver gives you wings?

I don’t play a particular sport but I love watching collegiate basketball. I am given wings when my university win because I am one with them in the belief that we can make it. Basketball is my alternate world. Whenever I feel like my normal, real life seems to be stale, a good old collegiate basketball game will never fail to lift my soul up. Every shot made closer to the win is like saving me from my less exciting routines.

On the court, everything comes at a price—playing defense, diving for loose balls, arguing with the refs, even losing. I hate losing but the thought of it gives me wings to hustle harder, sacrifice more, ball like there’s no tomorrow. Because losing got lost in my dictionary long ago.

I love Basketball but I do not play it. I am just an avid fan of PBA and NBA especially if it is Rajon Rondo playing as well as the team. The sport that really draws my attention is Running. I love running because aside from its giving me a healthy body structure, this develops my courage and determination to pursue a thing that I thought I could not do.As a matter of fact, I am not an early morning person but because of running I manage to wake up early in the morning to go in practice and it takes such a lot of courage and will for me to do that. Indeed, these are the things that give me wings to pursue and achieve my goals in life through running.

I have been into badminton since I was in 3rd grade. I can say that it has been a hard yet fulfilling experience because I have gone through hard training and as a result, I have won in many tournaments. It’s never bad to try something new, so I tried football. And I loved it. Point is, my wings to these sports are the experiences I have gone through. I would always keep my eyes on the prize because I have trained hard and I know that I can do it. Like Rondo, it doesn’t matter how many points you get. The only thing that matters is winning. Although, a true champion always accepts defeat and then strives to get back up.
