All of a sudden, the GlobalPort Batang Pier have found a winning rhythm.
After starting the conference 0-4, the team was able to beat Meralco in overtime, launching a winning streak that extended to three yesterday, via a 101-99 triumph against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
Doing the damage was GlobalPort’s 1-2 “Slash Brothers” pairing of Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle. Romeo led the squad with 33 points on a 13-of-24 clip. He also dished out a team-high five assists, in addition to two rebounds, two steals, and a block. Pringle chipped in 16 points, three boards, and three dimes.

GlobalPort is now 3-4, in a three-way tie with their opponents in this game, and the Phoenix Fuel Masters. As of writing, they’re in the top-eight, with four matches to go before the elimination round ends. They picked a great time to make a run, but now the question is whether or not they can sustain it.
