The triple-doubles keep coming for Russell Westbrook.
The Oklahoma City Thunder superstar posted his 22nd of the season, which included the game-winning jumper against the Utah Jazz, 97-95.
Westbrook finished with 38 points on 11-of-29 shooting, 13-of-17 from the stripe. He added 10 rebounds and 10 assists, plus four steals and a block.
With 12.9 seconds left, Westbrook hit two free throws to put the Thunder up 95-92, before Gordon Hayward canned a three-pointer off a timeout to knot the two sides. After the Thunder’s turn to call for a pause to the game, Westbrook smoothly canned the 20-footer, and Alec Burks’ try with 0.4 seconds to go failed to connect.
Overall, Westbrook now has 59 triple-doubles for his career. That ties him with Larry Bird on the NBA’s all-time list, currently topped by Oscar Robertson with 181.
