Will Gozum has had a rollercoaster high school career. He made a name for himself as a productive big man in the Batang Gilas teams that won the SEABA U-16 Championshi last year. He was ready to translate that success to the UAAP Juniors division. Unfortunately, he was forced to transfer out of UPIS before last year’s season began.

That transfer was a blessing in disguise as Gozum landed a spot with Mapua. His transition onto his new team was made easier because he was joining a stacked Red Robins team. His numbers may be unimpressive, but he was a key player for the team especially, when big man Sherwin Concepcion went down with an injury. Gozum stepped his game up in the payoffs and helped Mapua take down the San Bed Red Cubs in the Finals.

With one playing year left, Gozum can finish his high school career on a high as he banners the front court of a Red Robins team looking to go back-to-back.
